What to know about living in Irvine and ongoing issues affecting our city
Irvine is a world-class master-planned city. We are one of the top cities in America for our expansive park systems and open space preserves. We are known throughout the United States as an award-winning family-friendly community with excellent schools.
Over the past several years, many residents experienced a downturn in our quality of life in many of our Villages and the City overall.
As your new mayor, I want to return our city to the model city I chose as my home to raise my three children.
Public Safety: We have to provide more financial support for our public safety department, as we are seeing increased crime rates
Great Park Development: Our Great Park neighborhood requires a retail center to support the villages in the Great Park Neighborhoods
Libraries: I support the state-of-the-art library on the cultural terrace in the Great Park and the renovation of the Irvine public libraries
Veterans: Our veterans deserve our support, and we have to make sure to provide the promised Orange County Veterans Cemetery
Transparency: Our city council has to be open to the public and accessible to our residents, ensuring complete transparency
Fiscal Accountability: We must prioritize our budget spending to reflect priority needs and necessary municipal services
All American Asphalt: North Irvine residents must be protected from the emissions produced by the All American Asphalt Plant
Traffic management: Our City Traffic Research and Control Center must be updated with the best technology to ensure traffic moves more efficiently through our streets
OCPA: The Orange County Power Authority(OCPA) needs to be audited and reviewed for competency, and residents to opt out until the audits are complete
