Meet Simon

Simon Moon has and continues to devote his life to service and our country. He currently serves as an officer in the United States Army Reserve and as a Chaplain.

Since 2013, Simon has served as a pastor at Irvine Onnuri Church with thousands of members, and as an influential leader in the community. He and his church have been actively involved in community services partnering with public institutions as well as nonprofit organizations.

Based on his military experience, Simon acknowledges the urgent need to protect our veterans, and not let them become homeless. He will advocate with compassion to help the homeless and those in need.

Simon has lived in Irvine more than 10 years and has pledged to serve our community of Irvine. Currently, He serves as Irvine Police Chaplain to support law enforcement officers, in addition to providing assistance for their families and those in the community.

He will defend Proposition 13 and fight tax increases, be tough on crime, pledges to fight to keep Irvine safe, and never defund the police.

He is supported by local leaders, families, and business owners.

Simon is a Korean American who came to Irvine for the American dream. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Arizona, and a master’s degree from the Iliff School of Theology.

Simon is a proud husband and father of three wonderful children.
